Dr. Dany Hajjar brings more than 20 years of medical experience, including extensive work in internal medicine, hospital leadership, and wound care. His background and interest in venous disease support the clinic’s commitment to comprehensive patient care.
As Medical Director, Dr. Bassam G. Rizk contributes more than 30 years of surgical experience and 20 years of experience in vein care.

Dr. Hajjar earned his medical degree and a master’s in biological and medical sciences from St. Joseph University, then completed his internal medicine residency at SUNY Buffalo. He went on to build an accomplished career in hospital medicine. He served as Chairman of Medicine at Memorial Hospital Jacksonville, led hospitalist teams for TeamHealth for seven years, completed a Hospitalist Leadership Fellowship at UCSF, and served as a Regional Medical Officer overseeing clinical care across multiple sites.
His work as a wound care specialist at Baptist Medical Center Beaches gave him a firsthand understanding of how circulation affects healing and overall health. That experience sparked his interest in venous disease. He has been connected to One Vein Clinic since it first opened, and that interest has grown into a calling. Today he focuses fully on his patients at One Vein Clinic, offering the newest and most effective treatments, including radiofrequency ablation, VenaSeal, Varithena and sclerotherapy.
Dr. Hajjar is a member of the American Vein and Lymphatic Society and is pursuing board certification in venous and lymphatic medicine. He is licensed in Florida, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Alabama, and he speaks English, Arabic and French fluently, so he can care for patients in all three languages.
Patients value his thoughtful, thorough approach and the time he takes to explain every option, so they feel confident and cared for from their first visit through recovery.
Dr. Bassam G. Rizk brings more than 30 years of surgical experience and over 20 years focused on vein care to One Vein Clinic, where he serves as Medical Director.
A graduate of St. Joseph University in Beirut, Lebanon, Dr. Rizk completed more than eight years of advanced postgraduate training in New York City and Baltimore. He is board-certified in General Surgery and has served patients throughout the Jacksonville community since 1994.
Throughout his career, Dr. Rizk has treated patients across a range of surgical specialties, developing extensive experience in diagnosing and managing complex medical conditions.
For more than two decades, he has focused on the diagnosis and treatment of venous disease, including varicose veins, venous insufficiency, and related leg symptoms. His experience includes minimally invasive vein treatments such as vein ablation.
As Medical Director, Dr. Rizk contributes his surgical background and extensive vein-care experience to support One Vein Clinic’s commitment to personalized, high-quality patient care.
